September Favourites

It's been a while, A-Levels have been taking priority and therefore my blog had been put on the back burner, but I'm back today with my September faves :)

1. Lola Rose by Marc Jacobs Perfume
Described as a 'warm floral bouquet with a signature note of luscious fuchsia peony' it'll do some damage to your bank account at £49 for 50ml but it is gorgeous and I'm obsessed with it.

2. MUA Blusher in Cupcake
Such an amazing deal at only £1, this blusher is easily blend-able and very pigmented. Cupcake is a dusty peach shade and I can't wait to try others in the £1 range!

3. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Long-wearing, thick but not cakey coverage and it comes in 16 shades. I wear NW20 (NW standing for neutral warm shades) and it beats the coveted Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer hands down in my opinion. Beware of the pump though, as with one pump way too much product tends to come out so I'm been pumping it into a little tester pot recently.

4. MAC 188 Small Duo Fibre Face Brush
This brush is perfect for lightweight application and blends flawlessly. I use it to apply liquid foundation but it also works amazingly with powder, bronzer, blusher and for contouring. Mine could do with a wash but I included a picture anyway :P

5. New Look Quilted Zip Pocket A-Line Mini Skirt in Navy
I absolutely adore this skirt, it adds edginess to my outfits and it was only £14.99 :O! It also comes in White, Black and Khaki and I have a feeling I will be buying another. (apologies for my awful photography skills, it is definitely navy!)

6. Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor (second book pictured)

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Description:

Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grows dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands", she speaks many languages - not all of them human - and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.

When beautiful, haunted Akiva fixes fiery eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

No review could ever do this trilogy justice. Laini Taylor constructs an enchanting and captivating dimension which is alike Harry Potter in the depth and intricacy. It's incredibly fresh compared to all other current bestselling YA novels. Each book in the trilogy is mesmerizing and addictive and it's only £2.99 on Kindle, you won't be disappointed.
